Bengal Cricket: East Bengal and Tapan Memorial qualified for the finals

East Bengal has done a clean sweep against Kalighat Club as East Bengal won the match by 10 wickets margin. They will now face Tapan Memorial in the finals starting from 5 PM onwards.

Batting first, Kalighat Club has gone all out on a score of 105 in 19.1 overs. Later East Bengal openers Ranajit(54) and Ankul(51) chased down the target within 12.1 overs and qualified for the finals. Shreya Chakraborty took four wickets in his four overs quota while Sayan Sekhar Mandal took three.

Tapan Memorial Club defeated Town Club by 19 runs in the Semi-Final match of J.C Mukherjee Memorial Trophy 2022 at the JU 2nd Campus ground, Saltlake. Chasing a target of 144, Town Club generously fails as they ended up on 124/9 in 20 overs and fell short by just 19 runs.

For Tapan Memorial Shakir Habib Gandhi scored a half-century in the first innings to guide his team to a total of 143/8 in 20 overs. However, in the chase Town Club opener, Naveed Ahmed scored 57 off 50 balls but can't help his team to reach the finals. For Tapan Memorial Manik Sirohi took four wickets as he returned with the figure of 4-0-22-4 while Panwar took two for 13.
