KKR: Conditions to qualify for IPL 2021 playoffs

KKR had started their UAE campaign on a high note. However, with a need for 6 wins out of 7 matches, it always looked like a tough ask. Now, with Andre Russell's injury, KKR does not look like the same team, they looked at the start of the second leg.

KKR will have to win the next match against Rajasthan Royals by a huge margin. Then they will have to hope that Mumbai Indians lose one of their matches against RR and SRH. But, if Mumbai wins both of their matches, they need to win with less run rate for KKR to go through.

Sanju Samson lead Royals never looked the team to be in the final four. Injuries to their big stars like Jofra Archer, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes was a big blow to them. However, they never left the fight. With a great pool of young talents, Sanju has managed to keep the Royals to be in the race.

Mumbai Indians will have to win both of their matches against RR and SRH by huge margins. Even if they win, they will have to wait for the Net Run Rate to be higher than other teams. One advantage for them is that they will play the last match of the league stage against SRH. This will give them the opportunity to play according to the net run rate.
