Team India's schedule before Champions Trophy 2025

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced team India's schedule before Champions Trophy 2025. Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian Cricket Team is currently playing the T20 World Cup 2024 hosted by USA and West Indies.

Rohit-Virat may rest in the Zimbabwe tour

After the T20 World Cup, the Indian team will go on a tour of Zimbabwe. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will probably not be in the team going to Zimbabwe tour. There are reports of these people being given rest. Captaincy can be handed over to either Shreyas Iyer or Suryakumar Yadav. But after this, India has to play a Test series in September and Rohit-Virat may return in it.

Bangladesh will tour India in September

According to the team India's schedule released by BCCI on Thursday, After Zimbabwe, there will be a tour of Sri Lanka. Bangladesh team will then tour India in September. The team will play a two-Test and three-match ODI series. The tour will start with a Test series. The first Test match will be played in Chennai from 19 to 23 September. The second test match will be played in Kanpur between 27 September and 1 October.

After this there will be a three-match T20 series. The first match will be held in Dharamshala on 6th October, the second match will be held in Delhi on 9th October and the third match will be held in Hyderabad on 12th October.

New Zealand will play three Tests on India tour

After Bangladesh, India will host New Zealand. New Zealand team will play three Test matches on India tour. The first match will be played in Bengaluru from 16 to 20 October. The second match will be played in Pune from October 24 to 28, while the third match will be played in Mumbai from November 1 to November 5.

India to play four T20s against South Africa

After two home series, the Men in Blue will travel to South Africa for a four-match T20I series in November. The series is the rescheduled one from India's tour 2021 tour to the African nation, which was postponed due to Covid-19.

Border-Gavaskar series

The year will end with India travelling to Australia for the high-profile Border-Gavaskar series. This will be the first time in 32 years that the two teams will play a five-match Test series, extended from the four-match series, they used to play since 1991-92. 

India to host three-match ODI series against England 

After November, Team India will host England at home. England toured India earlier this year but played only a Test series. This time the England team will tour India in January-February 2025 and apart from T20, it will play a three-match ODI series.

The first T20 match will be held in Chennai on 22 January. Kolkata's Eden Gardens will host the second match which will be played on January 25. The third T20 will be played in Rajkot on 28 January and then the fourth T20 will be played in Pune on 31 January. The last T20 match will be held on February 2 in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the ODI series will start from February 6. The first match will be held in Nagpur. The second match will be played in Cuttack on February 9. Ahmedabad will host the third ODI on February 12.
