Rohit Sharma 'the leader' doesn't shy away from taking risks and it is quite evident in the way the team has played under him recently. The Men in Blue have been playing an aggressive brand of cricket which has helped them to win against top nations like England, South Africa, and Australia.

Although India had a forgettable Asia Cup 2022, the team management looks ready to back the philosophy in the upcoming T20 World Cup. In a press conference ahead of the tournament, captain Rohit Sharma spoke about taking risks and also encouraged his teammates to play the same brand of cricket without thinking too much about the result.
"I have started to take a lot of risks without worrying about the result, which I think is a good way to play this kind of format. And yes it is something that our team is also trying to do because you know this is a kind of format where there is a risk. But there are literally higher rewards as well.
You got to be brave enough to take those risks and certainly, we will be prepared to do that as well. I think that is my understanding from 2007 to 2022. A lot of things have changed obviously but yeah it has been good to see the game evolve over all these years,"
said Rohit Sharma in a press conference ahead of the T20 World Cup
Rohit Sharma is one of the four cricketers who featured in the inaugural edition in 2007 and will also feature in the latest edition of the T20 World Cup in Australia. He has seen the format develop over the years.

"I didn't have much understanding in 2007 as to what it was until we ended up winning the World Cup. Didn't have much responsibility back then. Teams have become fearless and we are also looking to adopt the same approach. 140 used to be a winning total back then but these days teams aim to reach there in 14-15 overs. That's how the game has evolved since then," said the Indian skipper in the press conference.
