Arnab Nandi, one of the most prominent leaders in Kolkata Club cricket, has left Mohun Bagan AC to lead a young team of Kidderpore Sporting Club for the 2024-25 season.

In the latest transfer of Kolkata Club Cricket, Arnab Nandi, one of the most prominent leaders in Kolkata Club cricket, has left Mohun Bagan AC to lead a young team of Kidderpore Sporting Club for the 2024-25 season. Arnab, who has won the Kolkata First Divsion League with East Bengal, Mohun Bagan and Bhawanipore in the past, left the Green and Maroon after a not so great last season. 

Nandi, who celebrated his 37th birthday on Wednesday, is still considered as one of the most valubable cricketers in Bengal with his off-spin and lower order batting. Along with that, he is one of the most successful leaders in Kolkata Club cricket and has won the league with nearly most of the teams he has played for in Kolkata.

Along with Arnab, Kidderpore was able to rope in a few of the great young talents of Bengal cricket for the next season. Sonu Naubagh, one of the promising batters in Bengal, who last played for Bhawanipore will be featuring for them this season. Beside him, last seasons' star performer with Customs Club, Samik Karmakar also has signed for them.

Suvam Dey, who was last season's top scorer in B-Group and was named in the 31-men Bengal probables for upcoming domestic season, was grabbed by Kidderpore. Not only Suvam, last season's highest wicket-taker in Group-B, Akhilesh Yadav has also been acquired by the South Kolkata club.

Alok Paratap Singh, a named associated with Kolkata maidan cricket for a long now, will be leader of the pack in the bowling department and will look to make his mark to make his comeback in scheme of things for Bengal. Alok will be accompained by Roshan Singh, the tall left arm pacer who has been under the radar for a long now.

Along with him Badal Singh Balyan and Saksham Sharma will be key for Kiddrepore's success this sesson. Both Badal and Saksham had impressed one and all with their impressive performance in the inaugural Bengal Pro T20 League 2024. Not only that, Saksham had emerged as the one of better bowlers for Adamas Howrah Warriors in the tournament. Abishek Banerjee, who was the assitant coach of Adamas Howrah Warriors, did not let the oppurtunity of signning the all-rounder for Kidderpore, where he will be cotinuing as the head coach this season as well.

Former Mumbai Indians players Deepak Puniya and Sarul Kanwar will be Kidderpore's main outstation players this season while Sumit Nag will be their first-choice wicket-keeper during the league.
