Mohun Bagan Athletic Club announced their men's and women's cricket team squads for the upcoming Kolkata Club Cricket Season 2024-25. Bengal batter Sudip Gharami, ICC U-19 World Cup winners Ishan Porel, and Hrishita Basu will don the Green & Maroon for them in the next season.
After a not-so-great last season, the Mohun Bagan Athletic Club opted to release some of the senior players and create a team properly based on youth and current form. Sudip Gharami, who captained the Bengal team in Vijay Hazare Trophy last season, will reamin with the team as one of their key players. Meanwhile, fast bowler Ishan Porel will also continue with his favourite Mohun Bagan team for this season as well.
Opener Ankur Pal and all-rounder Avilin Ghosh, who had a great last season with the bat were kept by the team management. Both the youngsters were named in the Bengal 31-men probable list by coach Laxmi Ratan Shukla for their perofrmance in the last season. In fact, Avilin was named Mohun Bagan Athletic Club's Cricketer of the year 2023-24 for his excellent season.
Along with them, Suvankar Bal, the hard-hitting wicket-keeper batter, pacer bowler Rohit Kumar, who has done pretty well in the U-23 level for Bengal, were also kept in the squad for the next season.
Railways spinner Akash Pandey, who had stunned everyone with 9 wickets in an inning in a Ranji Trophy match last season, will aslo be continuing as a Mariner alongside senior pacer Sayan Ghosh, who would try to make a comeback in the Bengal side with a great season for Mohun Bagan.
Ranjot Singh Khaira, Sourav Halder, Sachin Yadav, Shantanu, and Prakash Roy will also be a few of the key players for them this season.

Along with the men's team, Mohun Bagan Athletic Club were the first club in Kolkata to announce their women's cricket team as well for the upcoming club cricket season. They have bagged ICC U-19 Women's World Cup winner Hrishita Basu, who surely will be looked in as the leader of the team after his captaincy debut in Bengal Women's Pro T20 League 2024.

Alongside Basu, they will have Ankita Chakraborty, another keeper-batter who also did well to take Sharchi Rarh Tigers to the semi-finals of Bengal Women's Pro T20 League as a captain. Both Basu and Ankita have the skills to go 360 as a batter and provide leadership ability from behind the stumps.
Beside them, players like Monika Mal, Sneha Gupta, Dipa Das and Rupal Tiwari, who looked great in the tournament were also roped in by Mohun Bagan. However, with more than half of the side belonging to U-19 category, youngsters like Aaradhya Tiwari, Roshni Khatun, Koyel Mondal, Puja Rajak and Diya Nandi will be key to Mohun Bagan's success in the Women's division this season.
