Jude Bellingham's goal against Iran made him England's second youngest goalscorer ever at a World Cup.
The 19-year-old midfielder capped off his first ever appearance in the competition with a superb header to put the Three Lions in front.
After a positive start from England, there was a lengthy stoppage of play as Iran goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand was stretchered off following a nasty collision with teammate Majid Hosseini.
However, the Three Lions soon saw the fruits of their labour as Luke Shaw crossed into the area to find Bellingham, who proceeded to send a lopping header into the back of the net.
He is now England's second youngest goalscorer at the World Cup following Michael Owen, who netted against Romania in 1998 at 18 years old.
The Borussia Dortmund man now also has as many goals in the competition as Wayne Rooney.
