This was the 12th time Haaland has scored against RB Leipzig. Haaland's goal helped overturn a two-goal deficit after a Lois Openda brace gave the visitors the half-time advantage.

Haaland's goal, followed by sweet finishes from Phil Foden and Julian Alvarez, means Man City top Group G with a game to spare after reaching the last 16 of the Champions League for the 11th successive season.

Erling Haaland's five goals puts him joint first in the race for the Golden Boot in the ongoing Champions League 2023-24 season, alongside Alvaro Morata and Rasmus Hojlund.
