UEFA Champions League 2023-24 Matchday 5 roundup | Here are the four teams which qualified for round of 16

An eventful night at the UEFA Champions League 2023-24 on matchday 5 Ended with four teams qualifying for the round of 16 from the group stage. FC Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Atlético Madrid and Lazio FC Qualified for the round of 16 with one game to go in the group stage.

FC Barcelona | FCB 2-1 POR

Fc Barcelona defeated FC Porto by 21 at their home to qualify for the round of 16 after failing to qualify for the last two seasons. João Cancelo and João Félix scored for Xavi's team as they entered into the knockout stage of UEFA Champions League this season. This is the first time they qualified for the next stage since Messi left the club in 2021.

Borussia Dortmund | ACM 1-3 DOR

Dortmund became the first German team to qualify for the round of 16 this UCL season eason after defeating AC Milan 1-3 in Milan. Olivier Giroud's missed an early penalty for Milan, but Marco Reus converted one for Dortmund. Samuel Chukwueze's inaugural goal for the Italian side ensured the score was even at half-time. In the second half, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Karim Adeyemi found the net, tipping the balance in favor of Dortmund.

While Milan still has a chance to qualify, they must secure a victory against Newcastle and rely on Paris losing in Germany.

Atlético Madrid | FEY 1-3 ATM

Atletico Madrid booked their place in the round of 16 in UEFA Champions League 2023/24 after Feyenoord helped them with two own-goals in Rotterdam. Lutsharel Geertruida deflected a cross to his own goal to start the night. Then, Mario Hermoso volleyed one in for Atlético Madrid in the second half to double the lead. Mats Wieffer's goal was not good enough for Feyenoord as Giménez netted another own-goal for them.

Lazio FC | LAZ 2-0 CEL

Ciro Immobile came off the bench to rescue Lazio and take them to the round of 16 of UEFA Champions League 2023-24. Two late goals from the Lazio captain made sure everything ends well for them in Rome against Celtic, who were solid throughout the first 80 minutes to restrict Lazio from scoring.

Ciro Immobile was the player of the match for his goals in 82nd and 85th minutes of the match.
