The new Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haland has now become the fastest to 20 UEFA Champions League goals. He achieved the feat in just 14 UEFA Champions League games.

The Norwegian broke the record of Tottenhamโ€™s Harry Kane, who took 24 games to score 20 UCL goals. Haaland beat many legendโ€™s record to achieve the feat of fastest to 20 UEFA Champions League Goals.

# Erling Haaland โ€“ 14 UCL matches

With his two goals against Sevilla in the second leg of round of 16 this season, Halland became the fastest to 20 UEFA Champions League goals. He is also the first player to achieve the feat before his 21st birthday. He has scored 10 goals in this yearโ€™s Champions League; four more than anyone else in the tournament. Halland scored 8 goals for his previous club Salzburg, and scored 12 goals for Dortmund.

Harry Kane had the record for fastest to 20 goals in UCL till now. The Tottenham star took 24 matches to score 20 UCL goals. He reached that feat in November 2019 against Olympiacos. A second leg goal meant he entered the record books. In February 2020, Kane became Tottenhamโ€™s second-highest all-time goal scorer in official competitions.

#3 Alessandro Del Piero โ€“ 26 UCL matches

One of the greatest of his generation, an Italia legend, Del Piero was at his best in the Champions League. Del Piero playing for Juventus, made may records. However, his 1997-98 gave him all them name and reputation. He finished that season with 10 UCL goals, highest that season. He also helped Juventus play their third consecutive UEFA Champions League Final. With a hat-trick against Monaco, he became the then fastest to reach 20 UCL goals, just in 26 games.

A top scorer in three separate UEFA Champions League seasons, Van Nistelrooy is Chhampions Leagueโ€™s one of the best player of all-time. Perhaps, he is also the third sixth-highest goal scorer in the competitionโ€™s history with 56 goals. In the group stage of 2002-03 UEFA Champions League, against Bay. Leverkusen he scored his 20th UCL goal. His two goals that night secured that United won that match 2-1.

The center-forward from AC Milan is another Italian striker who had a successful Champions League career. The former Bayern Munich, and Germany striker was one the oldest player to feature in a world cup game for Germany. His brutal pace and finishing skills were as good as anybody till his retirement in 2021. Gomez stormed in to the scene in 2012 season by becoming the fastest German player to reach 20 UCL goals, in just 32 games. It was his 4th goal against FC Basel in the second leg of round of 16 game in 2011-12 season. However, after that he could only take his Champions League goal tally to 26 goals.

A world cup winner, UCL winner, Ballon dโ€™OR winner, Copa America winner, Best FIFA Menโ€™s player award winner, Rivaldo is regarded as one of greatest of all time. The left-footer known for his free kicks and long shot goals, has 27 Champions League goals. In the 2001-02 UCL season, playing for Barcelona he scored his 20th of the tournament against Olympique Lyon in the group stage.

#8 Jardel โ€“ 33 UCL matches

The former Brazilian footballer has played for as many as 18 professional clubs in his 20 years of football career. However, it was with SP Porto and Sporting CP he found some rhythm. During the 2000-01 season against Monaco, he scored one goal for Galatasaray SK. That goal ensured Jardel makes a place in this list. Unfortunately, he could only manage 25 Champions League goals in his career.

The current Real Madrid star is one of the few players to win four Champions League Trophy. Post joining Real Madrid from Olympique Lyon in 2009-10 season, he embarked as one of the best in the world. He also was a part of famous trio named โ€“ B-B-C (Bale- Benzema- Ronaldo). In the 2011-12 season he scored his 20th UEFA Champions League goal in his 34th UCL match against Ajax, becoming the fastest in the Real Madridโ€™s History.

Marco Simone is another Italian in our list. The former AC Milan legend finished his UCL career with AS Monaco. In the 2000-01 season he scored his 20th UEFA Champions League goal against Galatasaray SK in a losing cause. Simone could only manage 23 goals in his 6 Champions League season.

This might be shocking to everyone that All-Time record goal-scorers of the Champions League does not even feature in the list. Cristiano Ronaldo took 56 matches, while Lionel Messi took 40 games to reach 20 UEFA Champions League goals.
