2020-21 UEFA Champions League Round of 16 | PSG won 5-2
Post 2014-15's success Barcelona started to fade in the biggest club football tournament in the world. With many players retiring and the club facing multiple financial crises, Barcelona struggled to go shoulder-to-shoulder against one of the strongest teams in PSG. A red-hot Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick to help PSG win the first leg by 4-1. Messi scored the lone goal for Barcelona from the penalty spot. Though Barcelona fans were hoping for a comeback like 2014-15, PSG did not let that happen twice.
