Mohun Bagan Super Giant signed Indian midfielder Lalengmawia Ralte Apuia for five years from Mumbai City FC. Apuia was one of the reasons why Mumbai City FC won the Indian Super League 2023-24. The midfielder scored one goal, assisted twice, and was one of the highest-rated players of the season.
Till now Apuia has played 18 times for the national team and has one of the brightest futures in Indian Football.

"Apuia is a great reinforcement for our midfield. He has been an important player in the league in recent seasons, becoming an important player as a defensive midfielder in the Indian national team as well. It will help us generate internal competition that will improve team performance," Mohun Bagan SG head coach Molina said after the sign.

Mohun Bagan SG are looking for some huge signs this season with Jamie Maclaren of Australia all set to join the Green and Maroon brigade this season. Alongside Apuia, the ISL shield winners already have midfielders like Anirudh Thapa and Sahal Abdul Samad in their ranks.
