Manchester City was nowhere near their best but they didn't have to be as they outclassed a fighting Manchester United to secure the seventh FA Cup title. United did give it their all, but it wasn't enough against a superior side, who are on the verge of completing a historic treble.

FA Cup Final: Manchester City vs Manchester United Match Report
First half:
A start no one would have dreamed of. The Manchester City skipper, İlkay Gündoğan gave a very early lead to City after a banger just 14 seconds from the kickoff. David de Gea didn't expect a strike like that so early in the back. It became the fastest goal in the history of the FA Cup. Manchester City kept the majority of the possessions as expected. United tried to hit City on counters but they couldn't make the most of it. Man City kept pushing for the second goal, but United's backline remained calm and didn't give Haaland any chance to shoot. Rodri got a chance from the corner but his header was not in the target.
Manchester United found a lifeline as Wan-bissaka's header touched Grealish's hand inside the box. United won a penalty in the 33rd minute and Bruno struck it inside the back of the net. He sent Ortega to the other side and made no mistake to level the score. The fast half ended with a 1-1 scoreline in Wembley.
Second Half:
Manchester City started the second half with the same intensity and they just needed six minutes to take the lead once again. It was none other than the skipper once again who gave the lead to Manchester City. The heads were dropped for the players of United and it was expected. The backline was stronger than ever but David de Gea made another huge mistake. There was no power in Gündoğan's strike but he couldn't keep the shot out.
Garnacho came in as a sub and gave United an outside hope but they couldn't capitalize the chances. Man City kept the match in their control and made no mistakes during the later stages of the final half. Manchester United kept on pushing for the equalizer but City's defense was too steady to break. The match ended with a 2-1 scoreline and Manchester City won it.
