The Spanish giants won the 2023-24 UEFA Champions League to qualify directly to the Intercontinental Cup Final. Real Madrid are coming from a 3-3 draw against Rayo Vallecano in the LaLiga last weekend, but they will surely be on a different groove in the Final.
Coach Carlo Ancelotti will field the best possible eleven to clinch the coveted trophy as Kylian Mbappe, who danced through the World Cup final in the same venue in 2022, has returned to the squad after missing out on the last game. however, Real Madrid will remain without the services of David Alaba, Ferland Mendy, Dani Carvajal, and Eder Militao.

The Mexican side has been a surprise package so far in this competition, beating South American champions Botafogo and African champions Al-Ahly in their pathway to the final. They earned a shocking 3-0 win over Botafogo, the 2024 Copa Libertadores champions in the second round. Following that win, Pachuca went on to defeat the 2023-24 CAF Champions League winners Al-Ahly in penalties in the semi-final.
Venezuelan forward Solomon Rondon, who previously played in the Premier League, currently plays for the Mexican club and will lead Pachuca's attacking line-up against Real Madrid. CF Pachuca coach Guillermo Almada will also have the full squad from the last match at his disposal to take on the challenge of the mighty Royal Whites. However, they will appear without the services of Israel Luna.
