After the Argentine Men's team win over Brazil in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers at Maracana, the U-17 Men's team of Argentina have defeated the arch rivals in the FIFA U-17 Men's World Cup in Jakarta.

The future brigade of Argentine football dismanteled the Brazilian defence in a much-awaited quarter-finals of the FIFA U-17 Men's World Cup 2023. It was Claudio Echeverri's hat-trick that took the game away from the Seleção Canarinha.

After a subdued start to the match, the game came to life in the 15th minute when Rayan narrowly missed the target with a powerful shot just wide of Argentina's left post. Shortly after, Santiago Lopez skillfully navigated past Phillipe Gabriel and delivered a cross to Agustin Ruberto. However, a swarm of Brazilian defenders swiftly closed in, preventing Ruberto from converting the opportunity.

However, Argentina didn't have to wait much longer to break the deadlock. Claudio Echeverri embarked on a mesmerizing run, characteristic of those who wear Argentina's No10 jersey. Advancing to the edge of the box, Echeverri unleashed a shot that took a significant deflection off Vitor Reis, arcing over Gabriel and into the net.

While Echeverri's first goal involved an element of luck, his second in 58th minute showcased pure skill. He effortlessly evaded two Brazilian challenges in one seamless motion before rifling the ball into the net from an acute angle.

Completing his hat-trick 13 minutes later, the captain capitalized on a precise through ball from Ruberto. Echeverri outpaced Gabriel, calmly slotting the ball into an empty net, solidifying Argentina's victory and propelling him to the top of the adidas Golden Boot race.

With this win, Argentina advances to the semi-final where they will face Germany at Surakarta's Manahan Stadium on Tuesday.
