Ghana vs Uruguay faces off on Friday in the hope of sealing a spot in the knockout stages of the World Cup.

Blessed with a talented squad, La Celeste have so far flattered to deceive and in this outing will be looking to avoid making unwanted history. 

That's because the South American side are looking to avoid losing two group-stage matches in a single World Cup campaign for the first time since 1974, and if they fail to score again here for a third successive group-stage match, they'll become the first South American team to remain goalless across a whole World Cup campaign since Peru in 1978.

Ghana won't prove to be pushovers, though, after netting five goals across two matches in Qatar despite coming into the tournament as the lowest-ranked nation. 

The African side will also know that taking just a point against Uruguay in this heavyweight clash at Al Bayt Stadium could still be enough to send them through to the Round of 16 against all the odds.
