Wesley Michael Brown, born in 1979 in Manchester use to play as a Centre Back. He played in the top flight of English football for Manchester United. Brown has a rich history with 7 premier league titles and 2 champions league titles. However, in the latter stages of his career, he joined clubs like Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers. On August 15 2017, he joined Kerala Blasters for a whopping fee of โ‚น 1.95 Cr which remains one of the highest in ISL history. He retired from professional football on July 1, 2018.

One of the best Attacking midfielders in the ISL joins the runners-up ATK Mohun Bagan from Mumbai City FC. He stepped into the ISL after joining FC Goa on a free transfer from Moghreb Tรฉtouan. The French international recently joined the ATK Mohun Bagan on 8th July 2021, for a record-breaking โ‚น 2.09 Cr.

The Uruguayan Centre-forward broke many records when he joined FC Pune City from Al-Fujairah SC. The currently dismissed franchise then paid a whopping amount of โ‚น 2.14 Cr. for the striker. The 33-year-old is now retired after playing his last season for Liverpool FC Montevideo.

Marcelo Leite Pereira born in Rio De Janerio Brazil is a left-footed attacking left-winger. He made his appearance in the ISL after arriving at a record-breaking fee of โ‚น 2.18 Cr. from Avaรญ Futebol Clube (SC) to FC Pune City. The 34-year-old has played for several ISL giants like ATK Mohun Bagan, Odisha FC, Hyderabad FC etc. Most recently, he left for Esporte Clube Taubatรฉ (SP) for free from Odisha FC on April 23, 2021.

The most expensive player in the history of the ISL is the 35-year-old from Venezuela. The right-footed centre-forward joined Bengaluru FC for a record-breaking fee of โ‚น 3.33 Cr. from Spanish top-flight club Rayo Vallecano. He also won the Indian Super League with Bengaluru FC in 2019 before leaving the club in August 2019. However, he is currently without a club, he last played for a third-tier Spanish team Deportivo de La Coruรฑa which he left on 1st July 2021.
