Mumbai City:
Last season champions Mumbai City have again strengthened their team Mumbai and are going into this season with some new players. The newly added players will boost their chances to defend the title. Mumbai City also made some managerial changes. As Sergio Lobera has been replaced by Des Buckingham from Melbourne City FC.
Mumbai is expecting the better side of their new gaffer. Former FC Goa player Igor Angulo, who was the Golden Boot winner last season, has joined Mumbai City FC. With last season's winners Mourtada Fall and Ahmed Jahouh, Mumbai City will make use of their experience with the club.Â
However, FC Goa kept a lot of players from last season and that is something that will help the team to push for the title again this season. The departure of Igor Angulo has paved the way for another Spanish striker Airam Cabrera. Muhammad Nemil has returned to the squad after a loan season in Spain. FC Goa also added Dylan Fox to replace James Donachie in their defence.
However, one of their stalwarts Jorge Ortiz is set to miss out on the opening few matches of the season. Following his injury during the Durand Cup match against Sudeva Delhi.
