Neymar looks for Copa revenge over Messi and Co. in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers

Neymar will face Lionel Messi, in a South American grudge match after being named to the Brazil team on Friday for three World Cup qualifiers.

Neymar is all set to make his national team call-up count. Tite also called up six members of the Olympic squad who bagged gold after beating Spain in extra time. Dani Alves who led the way for Brazil for another Olympic gold will also be a part of this team. Along with Alves, gold medallists Matheus Cunha, Richarlison, Bruno Guimaraes, Guilherme Arana and Claudinho have also made the cut. To conclude, after recently reuniting with his old friend Lionel Messi, Neymar will face him for the World Cup showdown.

Although Brazil leads the 10-team South American World Cup qualifying group after six matches, they have a tough challenge ahead. Earlier in March, two rounds were postponed due to the spike in covid cases and international quarantine rules. As a result, Neymar and co. will face a busy week ahead with back to back 3 matches.
