Kerkez's cross dropped inside the box, and after controlling the ball, Salah tried to go for the goal. However, he missed the target from close range.

Gakpo had the best chance for Liverpool as he hit the post twice.

Cunha and Mbuemo played a few passes among themselves, and then, as he saw the space, Cunha went for a curling left-footed shot. He missed the target though. 

Code Gakpo nearly deflected the corner from United into their own goal. Corner for United. 

After the free-kick, Bradley had the chance to go deep on the right. His attempted cross was deflected away for a corner by Shaw.

Konate with a visionary ball for Isak, whose right-footed attempt from the edge of the box was saved by Lammens. 

However, Isak was found offside after that attempt.

Double chance for Liverpool. 

First, Gakpo's cross was deflected by a defender, and it went on to brush the post. 

In the second chance, Salah's header went straight to Lammens.

Kerkez's cross was not cleared well by Shaw, and Isak had a full sight of the goal.

But, he could not get the shot from the sweet spot of his feet. 

Mbeumo's cross was for Cunha, whose effort was half saved by Mamardashvili. The rebound ball fell right in the place for Mount to latch on. But, he could not do that. 

Cunha switched the play, and Amad found Bruno with the cutback. The Manchester United captain should be on target from that position. 

But, he mistimed the shot and a chance gone begging for the Red Devils. 

Uffffff! 

Great football from Liverpool. Salah picked up the ball in the midfield and played it around the defenders for a great pass to Gakpo.

The Dutch striker, with a beautiful first touch, went around the defender and hit the post with a curling right-footed shot.

United are lucky here not to concede.

Gakpo's shot from inside the box hit Amad Diallo. It looked very close. No VAR check, though, from the referees. 

Salah had the chance to score from close range, but he wanted to give the ball back to Isak. Luke Shaw meantime, made the intervention to rescue it for United. 

From the free-kick, Salah's delivery found the Liverpool captain at the far post. However, a diving Van Dijk could not get the header on target.

Gakpo found Kerkez with a small pass inside the box. De Ligt tried to get around him, and Kerkez went down. Although they did not appeal for any penalty. 

This is only the second time that there has been a goal within the opening two minutes of a Premier League game between Liverpool and Manchester United, after Nicky Butt for the Red Devils at Old Trafford in October 1995.

Liverpool get things going in the second half. 

I will have to admit Arsenal have done well in the first half. They attacked more and looked the better side. 

Liverpool also looked threatening but without any bite.

MacAlister made a good run in the middle and found Ekitike at the edge of the box. 

Ekitike's pass from Writz was intercepted by Calafiori.

Salah smartly waited for the ball and Gabriel went after him, which helped him get the free-kick.

Van Dijk blocked Gyokeres' shot and it fell perfectly for Calafiori to go for a shot.

Timber and Gakpo were fighting for the ball. Timber lost the physcial battle as the referee whistled for a foul. 

From the corner, Madueke headed the ball down and went for the goal with a left-footed shot.

Alisson had to dive to his right to make the save. 

Madueke vs Kerkez is already heating up. 

Madueke has now tried to go past Kerkez twice. But the defender has been able to make solid ground and stop Madueke.

Gakpo found a gap on the left, and from the edge of the box, he tried to exploit it. However, he missed the target with a right-footed shot.

Ektike won the ball from Rice and he found Salah on the right after a good run in the middle.

But, his cross was blocked by Calafiori.

David Raya made a huge mistake in the goal, and as Cunha went for the goal, Raya pushed him to win the ball back.

However, the referee did not feel it was good enough for a penalty.
