Millions of young players dream of a professional football career. The dream of Subho Paul has just taken the right step forward. The 17-year-old from Howrah district in West Bengal has been selected in the FC Bayern Munich’s U-19 world squad.
Subho Paul made his way into the 15 men U-19 world squad of Bayern Munich. It is a tremendous achievement for the young winger from Bengal. A total of 654 players from 64 nations showed off their skills in more than 1200 short videos. The only requirement for participation was the birth year, which should be between 2003 and 2004. Former Bayern captain Klaus Augenthaler, international Bayern youth coach Christopher Loch and Bayern’s professional team led the scouting and selection process.
The Bayern Munich initiative:
The ninth consecutive Bundesliga champion club is bringing 15 international under-19 talents for a match between World Squad and FC Bayern U19s in Munich. FC Bayern Coaches will digitally train these 15 young talents. They will also provide individually tailored training plans to the youngsters.
