The football scene is buzzing with young players dazzling on the pitch, leaving fans in awe of their talent. In 2024, these rising stars boast incredible market values, and Sportz Point showcases them all.
A remarkable crop of young talent continues to grace the football world in 2024, with under-21 players attracting enormous attention and high prices. In addition to being the sport's future, these up-and-coming talents are already having a big influence on their teams and the global scene.
These U21 players are not only influencing the success of their clubs but also changing the economics of contemporary football as transfer markets soar to previously unheard-of heights. Let's take a look at the players leading the list.
Unsurprisingly, the Barcelona winger tops the list, thanks to his remarkable achievements in 2024, including becoming one of the youngest players to score and win the Euros.
His contributions at club level this season have been equally outstanding. From decisive goals to maintaining relentless attacking pressure, Yamal has embraced responsibilities on the pitch that are rare for someone his age.
With the growing demand for top-quality players in his position, his market value is set to rise even further. Should Barcelona decide to part ways with him, they would undoubtedly hold a commanding position in negotiations.
Under Erik Ten Hag's leadership at Manchester United, this young Argentine has emerged as a rising star. While he lacks major silverware compared to Yamal, his impact at United has been significant, particularly when the team struggled in attack and goals were hard to come by.
The player has shown notable improvement across various facets of his game, including dribbling, shooting accuracy, and teamwork, making him an exciting talent to watch. However, I believe his valuation might be inflated—although playing for one of football’s most iconic clubs naturally amplifies his market appeal.
It’s still surprising that clubs didn’t aggressively pursue this young talent during the summer transfer window, perhaps due to lingering doubts about his potential. This season, however, he has firmly established himself as a key figure in PSG’s midfield, forming an impressive partnership with Fabian Ruiz.
Should PSG clinch the Ligue 1 title dominantly and make significant progress in the Champions League, the player is likely to attract more interest from top clubs, with his market value expected to soar.
Savinho- €101M
Football analysts have given Brazilian winger Savinho a lot of credit for his flair, and versatility. Pep Guardiola was impressed by his performance during his time with Girona, as he produced 11 goals and 10 assists in the 2023–2024 campaign and this led to Manchester City signing him in the summer of this year.
Guardiola called him "devastating in one-on-one situations" and emphasized his ability to make accurate crosses and generate a potent attacking situation
Savinho has the potential to be a prominent figure in the Premier League as well as for City if he keeps improving. He is a player to keep an eye on this season because of his explosive playstyle and room for improvement.
One of Europe's most promising young players is João Neves, a Portuguese midfielder who made a high-profile move to PSG earlier this year for an estimated €60 million (with add-ons). He is a sought-after asset because of his performances at Benfica and his innate ability to direct play.
Neves is well known for his technical abilities, which include accurate passing and deftly avoiding pressure. His pressing style demonstrates a relentless, high-intensity strategy for regaining possession.
Given his current trajectory, João Neves' market value is likely to rise as he continues to impress in one of Europe's most competitive leagues.

Final verdict!
It was a hell of a game. Inter kept on coming back, and so did Barcelona.
But in the end, I feel it was Yann Sommer who made the difference for Inter Milan.
Yamal was just incredible, but Sommer was better.
Inter will head to Munich for the final. Who will they face?
We will get to know that tomorrow!
Until then, good night and thanks for staying with us.

What a season for Raphinha

Flick on missing Kounde and Balde!
"We can't change anything in terms of injuries. I'm not happy about it, but we can't change it. We have players who can play in those [full-back] positions. Balde and Jules [Koundé] are important for us, but we have Gerard [Martín], Héctor [Fort] and Ronald [Araújo], all of whom are capable of playing in that position."

Do you know?
Inter have gone 972 days without losing a Champions League home game, their last defeat was on September 7, 2022!
The first leg of the semi-final was one of the Champions League classics with a 3-3 result at the Lluís Companys.
Marcus Thuram scored the fastest goal of Champions League semi-final history with a 30-second goal in the game. In the 21st minute, Dumfries then extended the lead for Inter Milan.
But, Barcelona came back three minutes later with a stunning curling goal from Lamine Yamal. In the 38th minute, Ferran Torres scored again for Barcelona to make it 2-2.
However, Inter Milan were ready to strike back in the second half as Dumfries scored his second to hand Inter the lead, again.
But again, Barcelona came back two minutes later with a third goal from Raphinha, which was later confirmed to be an own goal by Inter goalkeeper Sommer.
Inter nearly won the tie if not Dumfries had been found an inch offside before scoring what could have been a well-deserved hat-trick for him.
We have everything to play for in the second leg. But Inter have not lost a home game in the UCL this season. Can Barcelona break that record?

As Liverpool FC won their second title of the Premier League era, let's look at the clubs with the most Premier League titles in the history of English Football.
Premier League, also known as the English Premier League, is a top-tier football league in England. This league consists of 20 teams in a league system with a relegation and promotion system to/from the English Championship.
Each team plays 38 matches against every other team, 19 at home and away. The seasons generally start in August and run till May. The Premier League is the most-watched sports league globally and is broadcast in over 200 territories with an average number of viewers of 4.7 billion.
As Liverpool FC won their second title of the Premier League era, we will look at the clubs with the most Premier League titles in the history of English Football.
The Football League First Division was the top-tier football league in England from 1888. But in the post-1970s and early 1980s, the league started to reach a low point with incidents like the 1985 Heysel Stadium disaster, which banned them from UEFA Competitions for five years.
But after England reached the 1990 FIFA World Cup semi-finals, the downward trend started to reverse. The stadium started to get filled, and the Taylor Report on stadium safety standards also helped clubs to create better standard stadiums.
After a dispute over TV rights and maximising the club revenue, the big five clubs, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Everton, and Arsenal, opted to come out of the Football League First Division and create another league.
At the close of the 1990-91 season, the FA Premier League was formed, and from 1992-93 the Premier League era started with 22 teams. Manchester United were the first Premier League champions and went on to win seven of the first nine trophies.
Who has won the most Premier League titles?
Till now, 51 teams have played in the Premier League since the tournament was rebranded in 1992. 7 teams have successfully won the Premier League title.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham are considered the 'Big Six' in the Premier League. Unfortunately, Tottenham haven't lifted any major title in their history, but still, they go toe to toe with every club and take part in the title race.
