The press service of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has published the Champions League Team of the Season 2022/23 season on their official Twitter account.

The team includes seven players from Manchester City, who became the tournament's winners for the first time in their history.

Two Inter players have been included by UEFA in their annual team of the season after the conclusion of the final between the Nerazzurri and eventual winners Manchester City on Saturday evening.

Two of Simone Inzaghi's signature back five made the final cut, with Alessandro Bastoni and Federico Dimarco included in UEFA's official selection.

UEFA's Technical Observer panel has named Man City midfielder Rodri as the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League Player of the Season.

The 26-year-old appeared in all but one of Man City's matches in their Champions League-winning campaign, scoring twice. In a Player of the Match performance in the final, his precisely-executed winning strike clinched the trophy.

"It's a dream. This moment will never happen again," he said at full-time. "All these [City fans have] waited I don't know how many years. They deserve it, we deserve it."

The Champions League 2022/23 Team of the Season is as follows:

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid).

Defenders: Kyle Walker (Manchester City), Ruben Dias (Manchester City), Alessandro Bastoni (Inter), Federico Dimarco (Inter).

Midfielders: John Stones (Manchester City), Rodri (Manchester City), Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City).

Forwards: Bernardo Silva (Manchester City), Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Vinicius Junior (Real Madrid).
