USA vs Wales: Match Preview:
It's been a long 64 years, but Wales are back at the Fifa World Cup. Robert Page's side qualified for Qatar 2022 via the play-offs and they will be looking to emulate the "class of 58", who reached the quarter-finals.Â
Wales's opening World Cup game against the United States on Monday evening could decide one of group B's two qualifiers, said Kyle Bonn on SportingNews.com. It's "rare" that such a "vital" match is played this early in the tournament, but with Wales and the US expected to "duke it out" behind group favourites England, "there's a tense feel about this contest".
The Dragons may have "defied expectations" to reach the World Cup, said Gavin Beech on WalesOnline. But that doesn't mean "they can't make an impact" in Qatar. Should Page's men pick up three points against the US, then they "might only need one more point" to earn qualification for the knockout stages.
The US, who last qualified for the World Cup in 2014, have the slight upper hand from their previous meetings with Wales. Both friendlies, the teams drew 0-0 in November 2020, but the US won 1-0 in May 2003. Wales and the US are in group B with England and Iran. Â
Team News:
USA:
Luca de la Torre has been sidelined since the end of October with a hamstring injury. Celta Vigo announced at the time that he would be unavailable for at least three weeks. That was three weeks ago.
Matt Turner returned to warm Arsenal's bench this month after missing three matches with a groin problem and is expected to stand between the sticks for the US.
Weston McKennie is another regular starter but damaged his thigh while playing for Juventus in October, leaving his involvement this Monday shrouded in uncertainty.
Wales:
Joe Allen hasn't featured for Swansea City since September while nursing a hamstring injury but is "confident and comfortable that it won't be too much of a problem".
When announcing Allen's place in the squad, Wales manager Rob Page admitted: "It's not ideal if I'm honest, but we're giving him every opportunity to get him fit to get into the starting XI for the first game."
USA vs Wales: Head to Head:
The two sides have clashed on two occasions in the past. The USA have one win to their name, while one game ended in a draw.
The USA have a poor recent record against European opposition, failing to win any of their last nine meetings, losing five and drawing four.

11 players who have won the most trophies in football history
Argentine legend Lionel Messi has won the most trophies in football history (46). Here are the other 10 players who follow him on this list most successful football history.
Many great players have taken the football pitch and left the fans in awe. However, only a few players have gone on to win various trophies in their careers. In this special article, we will take a look at an elite list of players who have won the most trophies in football as a player.
But, yes, the below list only counts the major trophies won with teams and only only individual awards. We wanted to be clear with that at the start. With this list of "11 players who have won the most trophies in football history," we will able to judge which player has been a part of a winning team mostly.
Though, it is not always the case that when you win a trophy, you have a big role to play in that. But, in this list, all the players listed always had big contributions to their team's success. So, without further a due, let's checkout the list.
Top 11 players with the most trophies in football:

In a total, Baia won 25 trophies with the Porto while adding the rest to his collection of glories for Barcelona. Unfortunately, he was not able to add any trophy while playing for Portugal.

Norway Football team's hopes of automatic qualification for Euro 2024 were ended by Spain on October 15, 2023. A few days later, their play-off chances were ended too. But, Norway were eliminated long before when they suffered a 2-1 loss at home to Scotland. Erling Haaland wasn't available in that match as the match was just one week after the Champions League final in Istanbul. Norway finished third in the Group A points table of the Euro qualifiers and The Scandinavians' hopes of playing in the Euros ended.
Aleksei Miranchuk - Russia

Since February 2022, FIFA and UEFA imposed a ban on all Russian club and national teams featuring in the competitions following Russian President Vladimir Putin's decision to invade Ukraine. Russia were not involved in Euro 2024 qualifiers because of the ban and they are set to miss the tournament in Germany. Aleksei Miranchuk, the 28-year-old star midfielder who plays for Atalanta scored the winner against Finland in the previous Euros. Russia had qualified for six of the previous seven European Championships since becoming a FIFA member ahead of Euro '96.
Evan Ferguson - Ireland

Ireland failed to qualify for Euro 2024, after finishing second-bottom in their group with six points from eight matches. Their two wins came against last-placed Gibraltar and ended their qualification campaign with a 1-0 defeat away to the Netherlands. Evan Ferguson, the 19-year-old Brighton striker sustained an injury that ruled him out of his national team's Euro 2024 qualifying games against France and Netherlands. It is a huge miss for a talent like Evan Ferguson to not appear in a competition like the Euros.

Victor Lindelof is the captain of the side and he was not able to lead the team to the upcoming competition. Sweden didn't perform like the fans expected. They have players like Isak, Kulusevski, and Forsberg but still couldn't manage to get past the qualifying stage. This is the first time since 1996 that Sweden have failed to qualify for a European Championship.

Greece lost to Georgia 4-2 on penalties in the final of the Euro 2024 play-off which means they will not progress to the competition despite delivering a strong performance in the semi-finals against Kazakhstan. Georgia had never won against Greece and had never reached the finals of any major competition, while Greece had not made it to the finals of a major tournament since Brazil in 2014. Greece's elimination also means that Liverpool's defender Konstantinos Tsimikas will also miss the Euros.
Eljif Elmas - North Macedonia

North Macedonia failed to make the EURO 2024 finals that will start in Germany in June. They were eliminated in a tough qualifying group. England and defending champions Italy were the best two teams from Group C and they booked their places in the competition. North Macedonia qualified for the EURO 2020 to make history but they were eliminated at the group stage after losing to the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Austria. Eljif Elmas, a key player of Macedonia later said that he still dreamt of playing in another huge competition with his national team. The Argentine superstar already has seven Golden Balls to his name – more than anybody else in history. He is now set to be recognized as the best player on the planet once again having inspired his country to World Cup glory at Qatar 2022.
Diario Sport reports that Messi will be handed the most prestigious of individual accolades at a glitzy ceremony hosted by France Football in Paris on October 30. That award will pull him further clear of eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo.
Messi, who linked up with MLS side Inter Miami over the summer, will also become the first recipient of the Ballon d’Or to be playing their club football outside of Europe.
In the process of adding another entry to the record books, Messi will pip prolific Manchester City striker Erling Haaland – who hit 52 goals while helping the Blues to Treble glory last season.
