On the fourth day of the ISSF Bhopal Shooting World Cup, Manu Bhaker won the bronze medal for India in the 25m Pistol Womenโ€™s final in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.

Earlier in the day, Manu Bhaker had finished second in her ranking match with a score of 14 out of 20. Fellow Indian, Esha Singh crashed out after third in the ranking match with a score of 11. Prior to the ranking match, Bhaker had finished third in the qualification round. While Singh had finished eighth to advance further. Apart from this, Chinaโ€™s Du Ziyue won silver and Germanyโ€™s Vennekamp Doreen won gold in this round. After that, Indiaโ€™s medal count in the ISSF Bhopal Shooting World Cup has increased to 6, which includes 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

A total of 29 players participated in the qualifying round. In which 5 Indian players were also involved. Earlier, a total of 30 players participated in 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men on Saturday. In which, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar finished fourth with a score of 405.5 in the ranking match. Earlier, Tomar had topped the qualification round with a score of 591 to advance to the ranking match. But he missed out on a medal in a very close contest. In this, Du Linshu of China won the gold and Istvan Peni of Hungary won the silver medal. The bronze medal went to Jan Lochbihler of Switzerland.

Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, who represented the country in the Tokyo Olympics, is the only shooter from MP who was participating in the ISSF Bhopal Shooting World Cup. Being a local shooter, Aishwarya got a lot of support from the spectators. But there was also pressure on him to perform.
