Renowned tennis star Novak Djokovic looses appeal over his Australian visa and faces deprivation from the Australian open 2022 after a federal court declined his appeal to stay in the country. Thus, suppressing his possibilities of winning his 21st grand slam.

Novak Djokovic has lost his chance at the Australian federal court to revoke his visa cancellation on Sunday. His departure will begin shortly on ahead of the Australian open which is all set to begin on Monday.

The judges endorsed the decision previously made by the immigration minister to cancel the Serbian's visa on public interest grounds. The court has not revealed the full reasons behind their unanimous decision. Chief justice James Allson elaborated more on the court's decision. In his words, the court was reviewing ''the lawfulness or legality of the decision'' made by the immigration minister, more precisely ''Whether the decision was for different reasons irrational or legally unreasonable''.
