The 2023-24 season is the first in 20 years that doesn't feature either Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo in one of Europe's major leagues. That's why they are not in the list too. We've now arrived at a new era and some familiar names have already made a strong start in the opening couple of months of the 2023-24 campaign alongside some new names. It's time we take a look at the top players who have scored the most goals across Europe's top five leagues – Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1.

10. Antoine Griezmann – 11 Goals

Antoine Griezmann is undoubtedly one of the most underrated players of the modern era. Having returned to Atletico Madrid from Barcelona, Griezmann has bounced back to his best and is living up to his reputation as a prolific goal-scorer in La Liga. He has already scored 11 goals and provided 2 assists in 18 games for Atletico Madrid in the league this season and would like to extend the tally further.

9. Dominic Solanke - 12 Goals

Dominic Solanke provided a brilliant 13-goal contribution in the top flight last season and helped Bournemouth secure survival with relative ease. This season, Andoni Iraola's free-flowing system is benefiting him to become an established Premier League center-forward. He has already scored 12 goals in 18 matches in the Premier League this season. He is level on goals with Borja and also has played the same amount of matches but is 9th on this list as Solanke has spent more times than Borja on the field.

8. Borja Mayoral - 12 Goals

Borja Mayoral has emerged as Getafe's savior and his scoring streak has even helped the Spanish side steer away from the drop zone to an extent. Getafe are in the 8th position on the table now and the credit goes to Borja Mayoral. He has scored 12 goals in 18 games and is the second top scorer in La Liga 2023-24 season.

7. Mohamed Salah - 12 Goals

With 19 goals to his name, Mohamed Salah was the best for Liverpool despite the Reds' poor showing overall in last season. The Egyptian is once again expected to take Jurgen Klopp's side to greater heights and he is doing so by scoring 12 goals and 7 assists in 19 Premier League games.

6. Jude Bellingham - 13 Goals

The England international scored in his first four consecutive La Liga appearances for Real Madrid and his contributions were vital in Carlo Ancelotti's side taking the top spot of the table. Bellingham is not only Real Madrid but the top scorer of La Liga 2023-24 season also. He is only 20 and already looks like a leader at the heart of Los Blancos' midfield. Jude Bellingham is undoubtedly the best signing of the season so far.

5. Erling Haaland - 14 Goals

Haaland hasn't looked at his very best in 2023-24 but he is still on the list with 14 goals. That explains a lot in itself. The Norwegian will try to claim the Premier League's Golden Boot again, having already gained a healthy lead in the top scorer's chart with fourteen goals in fifteen appearances for Manchester City.

4. Lautaro Martinez - 15 Goals

The World Cup winner began the 2023-24 campaign by scoring a brace in a routine 2-0 win over Monza and added his third when Inzaghi's side went to Cagliari. He then scored twice against Fiorentina. Martinez highlighted his name as one of Europe's most in-form marksmen with a four-goal mayhem in just a 35-minute cameo against Salernitana. He continued his goal-scoring form and now has scored 15 goals in 16 games and provided 4 important assists.

3. Serhou Guirassy - 17 Goals

Guirassy signed for Stuttgart this summer after impressing there on loan from Rennes last season. He took his game to another level in Stuttgart this season as his side are now in third place in the Bundesliga table, four points behind Bayern Munich.

The 27-year-old is holding an average of scoring goals in every game in the German top flight. He has already scored 17 goals in just 14 games this season in Bundesliga.

2. Kylian Mbappé - 18 Goals

Mbappe has surprisingly only broken the 30-goal mark once (33 back in 2018-19) and is yet to claim a European Golden Shoe. This season is Mbappe's first in which he's the main man at the Parc des Princes. He has scored 18 goals in just 16 appearances that total of 1,331 minutes.

1. Harry Kane - 21 Goals

The England captain has made a sensational start in Germany. Kane might genuinely be in with a shout of challenging Robert Lewandowski's 40-goal record in his debut season. He has already scored 21 goals and provided 5 assists in his first 15 appearances for Bayern Munich.
