The Sree Kanteerava stadium will serve as the sole venue for the 2023 SAFF Games as the competition is being held in Bengaluru and the arena has the experience and all the facilities for hosting a top-tier football match.

The championship will play 15 matches from June 21 including the group stage, knockout stage, semifinals, and the final which is set to be played on the 4th of July, 2023. SAFF Championship: In the past:

The South Asian Football Federation Championship, which is majorly known by the fans as the SAFF Cup is a football tournament for South Asian nations that usually takes place after every two years, except on a few occasions.

The first edition of the football competition took place in Pakistan in 1993. In that season, India emerged as the eventual winner after they defeated Sri Lanka in the final. On the other hand, Nepal and Pakistan acquired third and fourth spots.

India stands as the most successful team in the South Asian Football Federation Championship with 8 titles and in addition to that, they are also the defending champions.

After India, Maldives have won the championship twice, while Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka have got the chance to touch the silverware once. However, the 2013 SAFF Cup champions, Afghanistan will not be a part of the competition for obvious reasons.
