#1 Cristiano Ronaldo - 54 Goals (Portugal/Al-Nassr FC)

The Portuguese sensation is proving himself again and again even at the twilight of his career. Ronaldo has scored 44 goals for Al Nassr this year which is a huge achievement in itself. He has even struck ten times for Portugal, as he helped the side register victories in all ten of their Euro 2024 qualifying matches. His 50+ goals in 2023 is the eighth time in his career that he has scored at least 50 goals in a calendar year. His two goals in the 5-2 win against Al Ittihad saw him get past Kane and Mbappe in this list.

#2 Kylian Mbappe - 52 Goals (PSG/France)

Mbappe has surprisingly only broken the 30-goal mark once (33 back in 2018-19) and is yet to claim a European Golden Shoe. This season is Mbappe's first in which he's the main man at the Parc des Princes. He has scored 18 goals in just 16 appearances in Ligue 1 a total of 1,331 minutes in the 2023/24 season. Overall he has scored 52 goals for France and PSG combined in the calendar year 2023. Paris Saint Germain's record scorer with 233 goals, is still just 24 years old.

#3 Harry Kane - 52 Goals (Bayern Munich/England)

The England captain has made a sensational start in Germany. Harry Kane is arguably the most in-form striker in the world right now. Kane might genuinely be in with a shout of challenging Robert Lewandowski's 40-goal record in his debut season. He has already scored 21 goals and provided 5 assists in his first 15 appearances for Bayern Munich. Not only that but before joining Bayern, he had already scored 15+ goals for Tottenham during the start of this year.

Kane has scored nine goals for England in 2023 and overall has scored 52 goals in 57 games in calendar year 2023. Kane has always been a prolific goalscorer for club and country and he is still proving that comfortably.

#4 Erling Haaland - 50 Goals (Manchester City/Norway)

Erling Haaland enjoyed a phenomenal debut season in the Premier League but hasn't looked at his very best in the 2023/24 season. Yet  he is still on the list with 50 goals. That explains a lot in itself. The Norwegian will try to claim the Premier League's Golden Boot again, having already gained a healthy lead in the top scorer's chart with fourteen goals in fifteen appearances for Manchester City in the 2023-24 season.

Six out of his 50 goals in 2023 have been for his national side Norway, with Haaland helping the Citizens to a historic treble last campaign. Haaland has missed City's last six games with a foot injury. It was expected, he will appear against Sheffield United in City's last fixture of 2023 but it didn't happen.

#5 Garbhan Coughlan - 41 Goals (Cashmere Technical/Ireland)

Garbhan Coughlan is not a known name on the list. He plays for the New Zealand association club Cashmere Technical FC. The 30-year-old has been in terrific form in 2023 and it seems he is scoring goals for fun.

The Irishman has scored 41 goals in just 27 matches in 2023 which speaks volumes. That impressive goalscoring rate has earned him a place among the top five players with most goals in 2023 on this planet.
